Reflections of a China Temple

The sun sets over a Chinese lake, reflecting itself and what may be  a Ming dynasty temple, this painting I did many years ago as a gift for a friend. I recently got to see it again and it was like meeting a long lost friend in it's own way too, it always feels like that when you see a painting you did in the past again. I took the opportunity to modify it a little and photograph it.

The painting is based on a photo I remember in a magazine given to me by a Red Guard  when I went to the port of  Tsing Tao in  north China with a British merchant ship called the  Armadale  in 1979.
